Winter Fundraiser

In addition to fear of punishment, musicians are dealing with reduced access to funds, food, and heat due the total eradication of their employment. As winter approaches, many are facing the real threat of seeing their loved ones succumb to illness, starvation, and death.

The Campaign to Protect Afghanistan's Musicians (CPAM) is teaming up with South Asian Arts-uk (SAA-uk), Interplay Theatre and the Daanish Foundation UK's Winter Aid programme to provide life-saving aid to those in need.

In Afghanistan, just £40 provides food and heat for a family of 5 for a month during the coldest time of year. Help us keep the musicians of Afghanistan and their ancient musical cultures alive by giving the gift of life this Festive Season.

All donations accepted through the GoFundMe platform go to the Registered Charity, Daanish Foundation UK, which will distribute this aid directly to the musicians of Afghanistan identified by CPAM who are in desperate need of life-saving support.

The most valuable gift is the gift of life.

Please donate now—as little as £5 or as much as £1600 (10 families for the winter) will ensure that a musician gets to live theirs.

Support the resettlement of persecuted musicians from Afghanistan

More information coming soon about how to help the musicians of Afghanistan not only survive but flourish & continue to practice their art.
